Class Organisation

With its current enrolment of approximately 205 pupils, the school provides an exceptional academic programme. This is under-pinned by the Mercy Charism of the school, to foster the spiritual, moral, social and academic development of pupils up to the age of 11 years.

The school operates as two integrated units:

  • St. Ursula's - Nursery Dept. and Pre-preparatory Key Stage 1
  • St. Catherine's - Preparatory Key Stage 2

There are more than 30 highly qualified and experienced teaching staff. Additional support is available from specialised subject teachers and from classroom assistants.

The strong educational programme includes the core subjects of the National Curriculum incorporated within a broader curriculum practised by the school and presented in this website. To enhance the learning environment, the school provides two classes in each year level from Reception through to Year 6, along with half-day (morning and afternoon) and full-day Nursery classes.

Individual programmes of study are drawn up when necessary to cater for the needs of more able pupils and also for those who may need extra support.

As and when required, specialist support can be provided by utilising Educational Psychologists and Consultants from outside the school.

Parents are kept fully informed and involved in their child's progress at all times.
