Quality Assurance & Control

St. Margaret's School operates a powerful QA and QC function, through which the school's high standards are continually monitored and bench-marked against other schools. The school seeks to establish means by which performance can be further enhanced for the benefit of pupils and to provide good value for money for their parents.

The existence of QA and QC demonstrates the school's stated aim to provide quality education for children from the ages of two up to eleven years, within a caring and supportive environment. Our quality function will help ensure that children leaving St. Margaret's School have been provided with the best possible opportunity to join the senior independent school of their parents and their own choice, at the age of eleven years.

St. Margaret's School is widely recognised for the quality of education provided and the quality of pupils who leave to join Senior Schools in the region. Typical endorsements from a selection of senior schools located in St. Margaret's pupil catchment and senior school feeder area, are presented below.

"As an academically selective senior school taking pupils from the top 10% of the ability range, we have a large number of feeder schools from which we take a small number of boys each year. St. Margaret's is one of those who regularly sends us well-prepared pupils who thrive in our school environment and finish their school career with a good set of A level passes. I know St. Margaret's well and have a high regard for its academic and pastoral achievements".

The Royal Grammar School, Guildford, Surrey.

"We have over the years recruited pupils of St. Margaret's Convent, Midhurst and they are well prepared for entry to Churcher's based upon a system which clearly identifies the need to develop core skills, understanding and an appreciation of the wider world. The school is well led and highly respected, not simply by those of us in the education world, but also in the local community"

Churcher's College, Petersfield, Hampshire

"I know St. Margaret's School to be an excellent school with high standards in every aspect of its provision. We receive pupils every year from St. Margaret's and they are invariably well motivated pupils, educated to a very good standard indeed"

St. Philip Howard High School, Barnham, W. Sussex
