Outings & Field Trips
Every class has the experience of participating in school outings annually, visiting places of interest which can compliment the curriculum and are very valuable in each child's educational development. These are often taken as part of a topic and are of great educational value.

Early Years' pupils visit many local sites, such as the Library, the Post Office, the Supermarket, a local Café and the Midhurst pond. During the Spring term, they also experience life on Fishers Farm, a combined farmyard and adventure playground. A most exciting visit is to the Water-Cress Line where pupils see the wonders of steam locomotives of the past.

Pupils also visit places of geographical, historical and scientific interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishbourne, the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton, Amberley Chalk Pit Museum and Selsey Lifeboat Station. Visits to the theatre and pantomime are arranged. Pupils went to the Chichester Festival Theatre to see the Russian All-Stars performing 'Phantom of the Opera'.

Pupils also visited the Royal Naval Dockyard, Portsmouth, being welcomed aboard and escorted around an operational warship by a Naval Officer. On this visit pupils could contrast between life on Nelson's flagship - Victory - and that on a modern-day warship.

A school ski-trip is usually organised each year during the Christmas holidays. Throughout the school year, there are opportunities for each year group to participate on residential field trips.
