The school provides a rich and stimulating reading environment. Books of high quality are provided for all ages and abilities. Pupils are able to enjoy the stimulation of reading for pleasure and information, reading with a partner and being read to at all stages.

 

All pupils belong to the school library and are encouraged to borrow books on a regular basis. A computerised system is in operation giving pupils the opportunity to catalogue and search for books with the use of ICT.

 

Reading at home is encouraged as a valuable support for a child's individual development in the reading process.
