Personal, Social & Health Education

We believe in the importance of Personal, Social & Health Education which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils. The aim of this area of education is to unfold to the children God's plan for our growth and to help them to an understanding relationship with Him and His creation. This is achieved through a thematic approach throughout the school which examines aspects of Religious Education, Personal & Social Education, Health and Safety Education, in the context of the development of the whole person.

Personal & Social Education at St. Margaret's School aims to provide information consistent with the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum. In addition, the school will take due regard for Christian morality, responsibility and the value of family life.

The subject will be handled with all due sensitivity. There will be strong emphasis on the Christian qualities of care and concern for others, stressing the importance of personal relationships within the context of loving, caring mutual concern and respect for all.
